How to keep your PSP "perfectly" clean This tutorial by Wellington
My name is Wellington, i live in Brazil and I worked for four years at SONY Japan as repair engineer, my main job was to test new products and repair SONY digital camera's/printers from Japanese custumers.
As you all know that Cleaning Cloth that come with the PSP can make small scratches over the PSP plastic case if your console have some dust or any other small particles in his surface, you can use the cleaning cloth only if your PSP is perfect clean. There is an more perfect way to remove dirt and grease from your PSP screen/console without leaving definitive marks (scratch) over the plastic surface and is cheap. Believe or not, we used 3M Scotch Tape at SONY to remove any dirt or grease from LCD screens, LCD monitors, TV screen, camera lens, you name it.
I don't know what type of Scotch Tape exist in your country, here in Brazil I used this scotch tape, it's a clear tape normaly used to seal boxes. Maybe in US the tape is like this one, clear polypropylene film tape with synthetic rubber resin adhesive, I am not sure.
The tape is kind of white when you see it and transparent when you peel off, if you are not sure witch one to use, grab one that doesn't have a too strong adhesive. Please do not use the yellow/caramelo one because the adhesive is too strong and will leave adhesive marks all over your PSP screen/console.
I do not recomend using other brands of tape, at SONY we used only tape from 3M. (No I do not work or have any relations with 3M)
here is the proof of concept:
1 - First I put my dirt finger over the PSP screen to leave a mark on it.
2 - Then we put a piece of Scotch Tape over the region that is dirt.
3 - Now we peel off and apply again the Scotch Tape, how many times is necessary, until we remove all the mark over the screen.
Please note that this is NOT an Photoshop trick, the police use the same procedure to remove finger prints from glass for example, and it will do the same for us removing dirt and grease from the PSP also.
I hope you like it.
