well...i have never tried DVDfab

But if you wanna put DVDs on your PSP, might i give you a suggestion?

I use DVD Decrypter

Then Videora iPod Converter - Free iPod Video Converter

while converting, you can increase the quality in one of the last steps. Use this guide:

DVD to iPod Video Converter Guide

I put Blue Harvest on my PSP this way, it was compressed down to 356MB!!! And the quality was Amazing!

EDIT: oh, and even though it's an ipod converter, it works just great for PSP.

thanks... but i like the simple process of one program.

i just need to know bitrates etc as i seem to leave mine at 768 and every one seems to use 128 i dont understand why lol

So if some one can tell me what settings to use i will try to put them in

i use xilisoft dvd to psp converter.. and it is so so so so easy to use.. and the quality of movies is great.. i also use bitrate 768.. bit i use 128 for the audio...

but wat u were saying about turning up the volume i would like to know the exact same thing.. because i need to plug speakers into my psp if i want it to be at a decent volume...

i do not know why the sound is so low.. so i am looking for the same answer..

but xilisoft dvd to psp is a very simple process.. simply put in a dvd and hit convert..

but the sound is still too quiet.. i dont know how to change it...

Cool Runnings. Nice
I would change the frame resolution to 480x272
because if i remember right, that's the PSPs best resolution.

Audio bitrate - 128
Video - you could prolly leave it at 768
and make it 2 pass.
also, if you can adjust these:

Qscale - 20
frame rate interval - 250 (not 100% sure on this one)
Sample Rate: 48000 Hz
Framerate: 29.97

oh hey I found this, it's for a different program, but maybe the settings can be the same?

PSP Video 9 - Ideal Settings PSP - PlayStation Portable - Reviews, Games, Forum

a lot of them are what we already suggested. except this one says Resolution: 368x208
but 480x272 is the best the PSP can do. Maybe the lower makes it run smoother?

ok couldnt find Qscale, frame rate intervale or sample rate. but the frame rate is set to 29.97.

running test 1 at 150% volume (standard setting from DVDFAB and usually to low) and then ill run it again at 500% and see what happens

no worries, those settings are not a huge deal, i'm guessing your program will automatically set them to the best quality
