if you don't want to make a Pandora, you could buy one from here:
DealExtreme: $10.50 PSP Unbricker Pandora Battery for PSP 1000/2000 (1800mAh/3.6V)

This is a great guide to follow:
http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-har...ery-guide.html (Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide)

Using this battery and making a magic memory stick (MMS) you will be able to install custom firmware (CFW) on your PSP. This will allow you to do many things; play Emulators, play backed up UMD games, etc. it's a lot of fun and there are a lot of homebrewn applications for a modded psp

You can brick your psp if you are in the middle of installing custom firmware (when the screen turns back and tons of words are on the screen) and your PSP turns off.

Its not big deal though, all you have to do is start over. Once again though I sell them both at LooneyElectronics.eCrater.com
