I just got a free old psp fat and i have no idea how to mod it or even what modding can do to it! So i want to get an i dea of the things i can do with it i am open to anything because i got it free so its okay if i brake it ...(i loose no money) and if anyone knows why the sound keeps cutting out on my psp or why when i put a umd in it says cannot read disk??
Yea, IT SAYS SYSTEM SOFTWARE IS V 3.90 I DUNNO WHY YOU WOULD NEED THAT INFO BUT...
i also opened it up and there was nothing loose!??
but if this helps every time it cuts out it says "HEAVY" on the screen and when it comes back it says "OFF"
well since its an old psp theres prolly just an internal error with the umd reader or the lazer, which means that thats prolly screwed. but you can still downgrade your psp and put custom firmware on it. the reason you would do that is because there is a bunch of cool and useful applications and homebrew games you can put on your psp. to downgrade i would recomend a pandora's battery and magic memstick. its easy to find out how to make and use them.
