Default Replacement Battery from DealExtreme?

I'm not interested in pandora-ing the battery or anything like that (already have one), but I'm interested to know how the $5.60 replacement battery (SKU #: 13319 dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13319) fares as far as battery life. I'm going on a long bus trip soon, and need as much backup battery power as I can get.

Basically, for anyone who's ordered one of these before:

1) How long does it last playing games? For example, if the normal Sony battery lasts 5 hours playing a game, how long would this one last? I see quotes of 3 hours in reviews, which would be great for a game, but not-so-great for only music listening.

2) Do these batteries shut down properly? Basically, on the official Sony batteries, you get a warning when they run out and your games are saved before it shuts down. I've heard that most fake batteries don't have that function. Is that true?

Alternatives I'm considering are shelling out the $39 for a real Sony battery off Amazon or buying a PSP Charger Grip (amazon.com/PSP-Charger-Grip-2000-Sony/dp/B0010SXY40) for $30, which touts 10 extra hours (again, no idea if this is music listening or game playing) but comes at the expense of being huge.

So, I guess my question is: Buy multiple cheap batteries that I can keep replacing (as long as I don't end up losing most of my games due to it shutting down... and obviously, at some point, having 10 backup batteries just gets kinda ridiculous so hopefully not too many are needed), buy one genuine battery, or buy the Charger grip?

Any thoughts/input appreciated!

That's just the standard PSP Slim battery. 5-6 hours use.

Default Replacement Battery from DealExtreme?

Sorry, I should have been clearer - I was asking specifically about the battery sold by DealExtreme. Pretty sure it's a fake, so was wondering about actual performance and whether it could shut down properly when running out.

I've Bought That Replacement Battery Recently And It Works Just The Same As The Standard One.

The Only Thing Is If Your Bus Trip Is "Soon" I'm Letting You In On This In Advance, There Shipping Is Slower Than Hell From Hong-Kong.

For Instance My Pandora Battery I Ordered From There Took 2 1/2 Weeks To Arrive.

Hope This Helps Dude,
Have A Nice Bus Trip.

So you had no issues with the wrong charge percentages showing up and the PSP shutting down when it was running out without a warning?

And yeah. Their shipping is hella slow. That's why I'm trying to make a decision soon, since my bus trip is on the 24th of this month. Cutting it a bit close...

i just got my package from extremeDeals - took them a week to delivery.

haven't as of yet tested the battery out properly as i am using the original battery - but your research is what i found as well.

for such a low price, the replacement battery lasting for 3 hours or more is about what to expect - if it is much closer in comparibility to the sony official product, then all the better.

i guess the official sony battery is the best but the most expensive option.

you pay for what you get - the sony official battery is a little overpriced because it is a sony while the 'fake' batteries are cheap and adequate.
