Red face Problem with my psp or card?

I bought a 8GB Sony Memory stick duo card from ebay, which clearly says 8GB on it. The packaging was retail, and it looked genuine. When I put it in the psp, I formatted it, so the psp would automatically make the correct folders I needed to put music/videos on it etc. However, despite me only having 2 game saves, my memory card has "filled up" a lot. It says:

User capacity: 7728MB
Free Space: 3815MB
MagicGate: Unknown

The firmware is 4.05 (not custom), and I have one Ridge racer save file and one Kaos Challenge save file. Am I making a mistake in formatting this, or is there a problem? By the way, it is not a slim psp, its one of the older ones.

Why would anyone buy a card from ebay?? Never fails to amaze me that anyone would think that it would be a real card

Well I sorted out everything. The seller refunded my money and let me keep the card because of the problem. I think he was more concerned that I would give him neg feedback . Ah well, thats free 4GB card for me . So how dso I make it show up as a 4G card, because its actually quite annoying that its always half full.

If you got msn/aim I can help you possibly get your full 8gb usage.

Let me know.
