Default Tips On Buying A New Psp

"Piano Black with the New Box Style (TA-88v3)(UNCONFIRMED)"

Is the Box I have, basically I'm screwed... Yet the Version has a "2001PB" At the end.

Its loaded with 4.01 And It doesn't work with a Pandora battery, Which sucks. It was bought in 08' Of December here in Canada. I'm taking it back to get a PSP3000 The 1st gen 3000's So Sony doesn't hurry and patch up the Time Shift/Grip Exploit found in the Gamesave yet to do of use in the Homebrew Scene.

Default Tips On Buying A New Psp

I heard a new new version of the PSP 2000 has a hackable motherboard, is this true? Sooo much confusing stuff x.x my brains gonna explode. So you have to have a certian motherboard AND a firmware under 4.00 or your totally screwed? I think sony hates my kind. Although i just did get into this kind of stuff...um...3 days ago from boredness xD.

Default Tips On Buying A New Psp

Hey, I just wanted to let you guys know something. I've been looking at other forums and threads and stuff, turns out that the mobo on Piano Black PSP slims with the new box style you can somewhat tell what mobo it has inside. There is a sticker on the new box style that says what the Serial number is for registration. They usually start out with AB0, and there are people that say that the AB01 don't have ta88v3, but the AB02 do. I can't confirm the AB01, as I don't have one, but I can confirm the AB02 having TA88v3. Anyone elses thoughts?

I don't know if that's it or not. If it is a NEW boxstyle (Not having the letter on the box and stuff), and a PSP-2000 Piano Black Core System, it should have a sticker on the back that says "Serial # for Registration" or something to that effect. The sticker should look like this (all the bars in the middle represent a barcode

| Serial # for Registration

So far from what I've read, AB02 is VERY likely to have TA88v3. People claim that all their AB01's work just fine, but the AB02's end up being TA88v3.

Oh yeah, I was reading about this on another thread in this forum. The topic started out as '' (2001 serial hu, 3.95 unhackable?)which was quickly answered, but the dialogue continued and many users put input as to what PSP Serials they had and what was TA88v3 and what was not.

Does anyone have a picture of the the New Box Style for psp 2000 piano black and the original box style.

Also where are the box codes and motherboard info located? In the back or where the serial is located?

thanks in advance
