I bought a PSP recently, I was told that it was modded by the seller. I want to know if I can still upgrade the software to the latest version?

Well go and check the firmware by going all the way to the left of the psp's XMB main screen and scrolling down to System Settings, then to System Software.(or whatever it's called) If it has M33 after it then it has custom firmware (meaning its been modded)

If your firmware is above 3.80 M33 then you can use the internet update feature to get the latest firmware.
