Default PSP Dead?

Hi Everyone,
My 1st post is a cry for help.
I have a PSP-2003 pb Date code 7d (under battery) and bar code ending in D.
When battery is fitted (fully charged) I get a steady green light, If I connect charger I get a steady orange light (battery removed steady green)
The screen stays blank, no other lights or indications.
I bought a Pandora Battery and MMS I fitted and it made no difference whatsoever.
It does not connect to computer (computer does not see it)
Can anyone Help Please ?

Thanx

Do you hear any sound coming from it when you turn it on?

No sound whatsoever. Even if I put a disc in, it does not attempt to run/play it.

Default PSP Dead?

Nothing Really, I was on Holiday and never used it for a few weeks.
When I turned it on it was dead...except for lights explained in 1st post.
I charged it for 24 hours, Battery held charge but PSP never came to life...So I bought a Pandora Battery and Memory stick thinking it would be an instant fix :-(
Sadly it is still in same state.

To be exact in my description of problem.

If I fit original battery, green light stays lit for about 20 seconds.
If I fit Pandora battery, green light stays on (forever)

Regards

Default PSP Dead?

I am thinking this must be un-repairable with software or clicking my heels 3 times and reciting there is no place like home.

To get it to work again would a new motherboard solve my prob?
If so what board would I get? (is there a board that is more suitable than others?)

Thanx for help so far

Default PSP Dead?

Thanx for your suggestion Delon40.Sadly it did not make any difference :-(
I have downloaded various psp pandora programs/files to my memory stick including "The File you need" from this site.
As I stated in 1st post the computer can not communicate with PSP at all.
I can not format the Memory stick using the PSP, as it is dead.
So all I can do is insert the memory stick and install the battery pressing whatever buttons are suggested.

I will search for the sony link.

Thanx

There is a Black screen....The same Black screen that is there without power or a Battery.

You are possibily correct about me not using the Pandora and MMS correctly.
I can not format the Stick in the PSP, because the PSP is in a Vegative state.
Perhaps the PSP is beyond repair, I just wanted to check with the Forum Guru's before buying another.

Many Thanx
