everything went smoothly but wen it re-sisted it shows the screen but i cant move to any other selections |

Did you update from another firmware? If you did use hellcats recovery flasher to go back and update it again.

yea i went from 5.00m33 to 5.50gen and what is hellcat and where can i get it, if it is on my psp am out of luck cuz my screen wont even work | |

Dont worry about it just go to the recovery menu and toggle usb mode.
File Details-Recovery-Flasher-v1.60-PSP - put the RECOVERY folder in your PSP->GAME folder. Then run the Eboot from the recovery menu. Downgrade back to 5.00m33-6 and you should be fine.

yea when i had m33 i could go to recovery and disable the xmb but now i got the gen i dont no how, a quick tutor?? | |

take out the battery, put it back in, turn on psp and hold R. You should be sent straight to the recovery menu.

yes but how can i even go to my psp foilder on my psp to put the hellcats recovery flasher in the game foilder if it is bricked and wont even allow me to move a thing. Plus i dont have a computer that u insert a Memory stick in just a usb one | |

Connect the psp to a computer or laptop using a usb cord. Before we continue any further I just have to ask you this, can you even access the recovery menu?

what did you do exactly? did you go from 5.00m33 to 5.50genA (only)?? hellcats only works when you successfully install that, then quick update to genB and then gen-b2 (which was made to enable hellcats and other homebrews that genA or B couldn't operate correctly)

then hellcats won't work on it...only on B2, you're going to need a pandora battery/mms...
do you have that? you MAY be able to go into recovery and make a pandora out of your normal battery with genA but i don't know what happened when it flash installed...where'd you get it from?
i'm about to pass out so i really can't help you any further tonight, sorry man...but maybe someone else will chime in for you, if not try this:
if you have a pandora battery, use it...guessing not or you'd be fixed already
power off completely and restart into recovery mode
go to advanced and see if the option to make a pandora and normal batteries are there
if so, you'll have to make a magic memory stick using either your usb toggle in recovery or using a card reader
hopefully someone can assist you further as i'm going to sleep and won't be back on till late tomorrow or possibly sunday...sorry i can't help you trouble shoot any further than this last post

How come goku hellcats recovery flasher works on GEN-A it did on my old 2000 why it wont on his phat.
Tankdarko it will be much easyer if you just borow a phat psp from a friend softmod a pandora and unbrick your psp whit the pandora+mms method

delon, i have no idea why lol...everyone on here pretty much knew also that hellcats wouldn't run on 5.50genA or B (like other homebrews which is why majority of psp users stuck with 5.00m33)
when they released gen-B2, it was to fix most of the homebrew errors and especially the use of hellcats flasher...it never ran on mine till i updated to that patch | |

idk on my old GEN-A psp it ran ok.On the GEN-B didn`t.maybe i cant remember right.anyhow it runs now on GEN-B2 or higher
