Hey guys, I'm new here.
Does anyone knows if its possible to run an original PSOne game into PSP with the new firmware 3.60 (original)?! I have an original PSOne old game that I know some people get it working in this forum, but the thing is that all of them made it on a custom firmware. Can anyone help me out? The game is Little Big Adventure, LBA for short, btw.
Thanks in advance![]()

So this mean, I actually would need to wait till a custom fw came to the new 3.6 fw or buy an old psp![]()
Yes. In order to upgrade to a custom firmware, you must downgrade your PSP to v1.50. As of now, I think the latest version that can be successfully downgraded is 3.50, which requires the game Lumines. 3.60 is new, and as such, probably hasn't been hacked yet...I know 3.51 isn't downgradable yet.
Your best bet would be to take your PSP to a used game shop (such as game crazy, EB, or something similar) explain to them that you want to trade your system in for one with a different firmware, and you should be good. I did this with my 3.51 at a Game Crazy, and they had no problems doing. They made sure my system was in resellable order, and traded one for one. Remember, anything 3.50 or below is downgradable, but 3.50 requires Lumines. As far as I know, all the other versions have custom downgraders you can find on this very site :-)
when i try to load a game, get a black screen, then the system shuts off

hey i have a problem i manage to put the ps1 gane in my psp using alcohol 120% then using popstation gui2, after the game is in my psp game file and i have the eboot and key files in there i check my psp if i could play the game and i get this message " TO USE THIS CONTENT, YOU MUST ACTIVATE THE SYSTEM." how do i activate the system please help me thanks.

QUESTION ABOUT BOTH PSP PHAT OR SLIM PM ME.
any know where you can find the DAT. files on a psone game (namely ff9). ive through my disc and the forums for days and i feel im missing it somewhere. fftactics works great for me with just the eboot and keys. so that arises another question, i shouldnt need it right? i cant get popstation4 to work so i tried popstation gui and it rips it but the game screen goes black on the boot up, wtf?
thanks for this it really helped me
No, sorry, you must have a custom firmware to be able to play and emulate PSX games. Other than that, only buying some PSX convertions from PSN Store or something.
I also pass the same months ago, and I can say we can't almost do nothing with an original firmware and that sucks.
Hey guys i am hoping you could help me out with a problem i am having.
First of all i am pretty new at this but learning how to do stuff fairly quickly with tutorials such as this one. Which i will add is great.
I am running 3.71 M33-4 on a psp slim, i have managed to get my
Final Fantasy 9 working on poploader, which is great.
However when i tried to do the same for my Final Fantasy VIII disc and ran into a black screen that appeared after the sony symbol.
My Final Fantasy VIII is PAL and i heard there is some problems with it so i used simple popstation GUI 300 beta which converts iso, mdf, bin, img etc into eboots but it also converts pal to ntsc.
But i still get the black screen, this is driving me crazy.
I also tried IceTea 1.3 but i get the same thing.
So if anyone can help it would be great.
Oh and i am putting the eboot in PSP/Game/FF8 Disk 1 so i don't think i am stuffing up the folders.
I got ff9 working without keys.bin so i didn't use it with ff8, i am not sure how to use keys.bin as well.
That may clear up my problem
