How to: Determine whether or not your PSP is hackable

Is it any were written version on the mobo i saw only the motherboard number is there and not the version....like TA-085 or Ta088 and not the v1,v2or v3....

can any body tell me how to figure out the verison ....

Ok here goes. This is a total newbie question. I have searched your thread but I've either missed the info or didn't find it. My son has the star wars edition, I believe its a slim. I purchased it Nov'07. It has never been modded. From what I've read I believe he has "bricked" it. I've looked under the battery and it says HU before the code. On the serial code at the bottom it ends in PSP2001. I would like to know can it be hacked? Also can someone who isn't tech savvy do it? Thanks for your time

Does God of War Limited Edition Pack (TA-88v2/3.95 OFW)(CONFIRMED)
mean that all god of war editions have the TA-088v2 or just the ones with 3.95 OFW? I ask only because I got mine used. No box and im not sure if the orig owner had updated it or not. It is running 5.02 now. Has anyone ran into a GOW limited with a motherboard other than TA-088v2? I hate to sound like a newbie as im VERY proficent in modding, just new to PSP

question about the ab02 not being able to be hacked. I have a ab02 that has the 3.95 firmware, arnt they suppose to come with the 4.00+ firmware only for ab02? would that mean my psp is modable?

yes some of them are..
the very new slims with AB02 are modable.MOst probably.Maybe the thread owner knows it..but i do know that 3.95 can be modified.
