Updating firmware to latest when already on CFW

Hello everyone,

I am on 3.80 M33-5 cfw and when I try to play backups I get the following error:

The game could not be started (80020321). I am assuming this is because it is really old cfw.
What is the latest cfw and would I need to flash OFW and then custom or can I upgrade straight to custom? Thank you.

You can upgrade straight to custom.

Does this happen for certain games or all of them?

6.60 OFW - Downloads - PSPMOD.com - PSP / PS Vita Forums
Put it in MS and update to 6.60 OFW.

Then download this
6.60ME-1.8 (OFW Version) - Downloads - PSPMOD.com - PSP / PS Vita Forums
Follow instructions and you'll have 6.60 ME v1.8. It's the latest CFW. it should fix your problem.

Hi, My sons PSP 1000 is on CFW 5.50 Prome-4, I've tried to update with the OFW 6.60 but get a message software version is 9.90 there is no need to update. Do you know of any way round this? Cheers.
