You said an ISO is similar to a ROM, so what's the difference between them then? And then a CSO is an ISO made to take up less space right? Thanks, I'd really like to know. Props on the guide julie, it helps a lot. | |

iso is a file ripped from a optical disk, while a rom is a file ripped from cartridge based media, and a cso is a stripped down iso that is compressed and modified in order to take up less space

TIFF=Tagged Image File Format
Its more like an image file format which can do more than most other image formats, and was exploited using the PHOTO menu in a psp....

tiff is commontly know as an exploit among the psp community. espically for the 2.00 downgrader i believe

wow, first post in a while... I'll come across so many terms from this that I ended up printing it out. Awesome idea, however throughout my experience here, I've found more detailed definitions or additions to some of the words.
CSO - compresses file by taking out the OFW updates and other files in the "system folder" of the original ISO
*Note* the term "root" is not only used for memory sticks. It is also used in reference to any storage device (ex: hard drive, USB stick, etc.). Linux junkies utilize this term often, or at least my brother does. | |
