GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)
hi, all, a noob here.

I went through all 10 pages of this post, some people had the same question, but never got answered.
Thanks. |

BTW, sorry about all the double posting. doing the whole PSP thing is my first real forum activity and now I see that most of page 10 is all devoted to my posts. Whoops! @trivium91: I would try modding a regular battery yourself. I was surprised just how easy it was (despite all of my posts) and how much cheaper everything is. I ended up breaking off the leg/pin that you need to remove and it works fine. If you really want to get the Datel Battery, it is the same thing as what we're trying to create and in a nicer case, but I'm sure that if you ask someone here at pspmod.com nicely you can ship them your battery and they will mod it for you (for only cost of shipping).
As for the Universal Unbricker, it is the end result of what you need to put on the memory stick for Pandora's battery. It is also known as Despertar Cemento or something like that where it completely bypasses the need for another PSP to give you the files needed for Pandora's Battery.

3)When your LED's are don flashing, press "[]" (square) to dump your nand flash (just in case you brick. be warned, the file is anywhere from 32MB-64MB depending on your psp)
4)After that is done, you will be required reboot, so press X (cross) when your LED's are done flashing or when instructed to)
5)Re-put in your battery and the pandora menu will load
6)Press X (cross) to install 3.71M33

And what is the datel battery does it have a switch and which one should i get the one for slim or regular |

The Pandora's Battery set can be charged. I put it in the PSP when it's off and wait for the orange light to go out, then it goes to a green light until I take out the battery and unplug the charger. @windforcer: I don't know if it would or wouldn't. I have heard a bunch of testimonies stating that it doesn't work but a handful that say the opposite. I think that it has to do with the type of memory (FAT, FAT32, etc.) it uses. I would assume that the cut-off for the FAT memory sticks is just after 2 gig. Even though I don't know much, i thought this deserved at least someone answering it somehow...

@trivium91: Yeah, you can use the 32mb sticks since they ARE pro duo, assuming you'll have enough room for all of the files. I've never used my 32mb stick for it though. I use mine for saves and whatnot for now. My 1 gig stick is what I use for Pandora so that I can back up the NAND. |

PRO Duo uses both serial and parallel interfaces and Duo can only use one, I forgot which. Unfortunately, drivers loaded by Pandora uses the interface that's not supported by the Duo.
Hmm, tried using a FAT32 formatted memory stick for Pandora but it wouldn't work. Anyhow, unless you have a memory stick greater than 4GB, the point is moot since the maximum allowed for FAT is 4GB.
@windforcer: You could try if 4GB works. Haven't tested it since moving ~4GB worth of data takes longer than moving just ~1GB. Worse comes to worse, your memory stick doesn't work and your PSP just won't boot up to the Pandora menu. No harm done.
