because if you solder the pin back on, the battery wont be able to jigkick (auto-start and read memory stick)
as i said pin 5 is the EEPROM pin and when disconnected, i boots the memory card (which has the actual pandora files)
if you really desire, you can solder on a switch that hooks up to that pin and another pin (not sure, look it up lol) and then you can dual-boot between regular battery, and jigkick battery.
However, the psp batteries (li-ion) are really really really toxic and when cought on fire, they release a toxic gas type of smoke. (if you are not careful when soldering, you might expload your battery!) and i was reading if you charge that battery (when switch soldered on) long enough (i think it was 13hr but im not sure seeing as the site is now clossed down

) the battery would also expload. So i highly just recomend getting another battery. i just went to my locl wal-mart and picked myself up a 3.6v 2200mAh battery for $30. unfortunately, they dont have psp slim batteries out so i had to just deal with it and hope sony releases that backplate soon.
