GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)
Hey all, sorry if the has already been answered, but I'm having some complications. I followed all the questions to the T, and on one of my psp's, everything works fine, on the other (They are both fat, and both 1000 series) when I pop in the hard modded battery with the mem stick, the wiki light and the mem stick light, and the power light all light up solid for about 10 seconds. Any ideas? |

Maybe the pandora doesn't have enough juice left. You should charge it for a few hours. |

GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)
Well, it was charged when I started this whole process. Also, the pandora fires up just fine with the memstick and asks to dump, blah blah blah, but only in my psp, not the second psp, which is the exact same model. Green power light comes on, along with the orange light and the other green light, stays on for about ten second, then shuts off. Is it possible that it's perma bricked somehow? |

GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)
Let me start by saying that I was very stupid when I did one part of this, youll know which one.
1. I was running 3.8 original
2. I made a pandora's battery and magic memory stick
3. I used them
4. Everything was working fine
5. I tried to use the 3.9m33 1.5addon yes I was still running, -3.7.1m33 (this was the part that was stupid of me!)
6. It was still functioning
7. I shut off the psp
8. I remove memory (which I formatted between 4 and 5)
9. I put correct 3.7.1m33 1.5 addon on memory
10. I put it back in psp
11. I try to turn on psp, green light comes on but nothing on screen
12. I think, "Oh no! I bricked!"
13. I redo the magic memory and try to use it and pandoras battery I still only get the green light, I know the pandoras battery works I used it last time
Any suggestions (I think it might have something to do with the 3.9m33 1.5 addon flashing memory but then failing)? |

@Connor psp: I think no one's answering because a) they don't know what's wrong or b) the answer is so obvious a two-year-old could find it. It may be related to the MS being 4 Gb big and the max is a 2 Gb for the battery to work (unless more than I thought changed in the time I've been gone). Try it with a MS anywhere in the 512 Mb to 2 Gb range. It may or may not help but it something, right?

Your will know if you successfully made your battery when:
1)you inert the battery and the green power LED comes on
if it doesnt come on, you did now make it correctly!
| False. While removing pin five on my spare battery, I accidentally damaged another module. The PSP turns on, the light turns green, and I get a black screen. This happens when the PSP auto-sleeps or sleeps as well. My PSP will then load normally using my unmodded battery. Unfortunately, I only had one spare, and messed it up. Thanks for the guide; hopefully I can get another battery and mod that. |

So it turns out I'm not only and idiot with an unsteady hand, but I'm a lucky one.
The battery worked perfectly even after throwing up gobs of smoke and knocking off what looked like an important part. Turns out it was just the module that held the EBOOTS lol. Thank you so much for this tutorial! |

GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)
@studioworks:The eboot games you have go in the GAME150 folder, assuming you've installed the 1.5 kernel add-on, while any files that end in ISO, CSO, or DAX go in the ISO folder on the root of the MS. More information on where these things go should be discussed on a different thread though, such as HERE (The Dark_Alex Custom Firmware Q&A Thread).
As for the formatting of the MS, it erases all data on the stick and makes it useable by the PSP/PC. Depending on if you format your MS with your PC or your PSP, there are different results that can be good for different reasons. PSP formatting creates folders that the system recognizes and that you may use often (i.e. GAME, GAME150, MUSIC, ISO... etc.). PC formatting is suggested for creating the magic memory stick because it doesn't create those folders. Think about it, if you're supposed to put the files that go on the MS for Pandora's Battery at the root, why would you need those extra folders? It's just another chance for an unrecognized bug in the program to show itself.
As a side note to all, I would highly suggest backing up all contents of your memory stick before formatting. Just copy whatever you see on the root of the memory stick to a folder on your computer and do your thing with the MS. The useage of the folders does not change (that I'm aware of) and you can just paste it back on the root of the PSP memory stick after using the pandora's battery and formatting with your PSP. |
