Default GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)

You said Winrar is in the download section, but it's not. Please give me the link, I just got a pandoras battery, and I do not have cfw, so I'm trying to get it. Thanks.

Default GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)

NVM, but in #3, you said to put your removable disk letter in capital, I put E for mine, and I did everything correctly, and it says:

Error 0x00000000 in DeviceIoControl
Please help!

PS: My PSP screen is not black or silver, it is regular with my theme..

For some reason, when Im creating my magic memory stick, and im at the Run screen, i type in cd C:\msinst, do everything, then when im at msinst ? msipl.bin it sais it Cant Open msipl.bin. Then, i tried opening it normally, and the run screen flashes for like a nanosecond and disappears, and it keeps doing that. What do i do? I followed every step, im positive . Im so confuzzled

Default GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)

while moving the partition, i dont get the yes/no prompt...i get the following:

psp ms ipl installler
load ipl code msipl.bin
241664 bytes (59 block) readed

target drive is 1
check partition sector
boot status 0x80
starthead 0x0b
startsec/cyl 0x0012
partitiontype 0x0b
lasthead 0x3f
last sec/cyl 0xb5e0
abs sector 0x00000171
ttl sector 0x001dae8f
signature 0xaa55
check bpb sector
signature aa55
check free resered sector:to small reserved sectors

so is it safe to proceed with the downgrade? just dont want to cook my PsP! thanks a bunch, inkee

@inkee: it won't cook your PSP if you mess up the magic memory stick. it may seem like the Pandora's battery apparatus isn't working though. You're not ready to proceed in the process yet.

I'd gotten the same error and posted it earlier on this thread. it's a simple formatting problem that I can't remember the solution for right now. all that you should worry about is the last 1-2 lines. the signature is off like it was for me and (I would assume resulting in) the last line.

Pandora's Battery is a hoax. Sony started the rumor in an effort to make people ruin their own batteries and buy more from them.

If you believe this, copy and paste the above thought into your signature.

making the battery is the easy part; making the disk takes attention to detail. make sure you are using a card reader to load info onto your memory card instead of the psp connected via usb; when correct, you will get a list of options, then you know you are closer.

Default GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)

i think i did every thing but

Process #3: Moving the Partitions:
---------------------------------
(NOTE: Keep your memory stick in through USB or card reader)
1)Download the partition mover
2)Extract the folder "msinst" to your hard drive (C:\)
3)Go to "My Computer" and find your PSP drive letter (Removable Disk ?)
4)Go to "Start"
5)Go to "Run"
6)Type in "cmd" and press OK

from here, there should be a black and silverish white screen. If so, your all good and are ready to continue.

7)Type this in: "cd C:\msinst" i dont get it do i type them both in it just says it cant fint it8)Next, type in "msinst ? msipl.bin" (remember No quotes) (also, replace ? with your removable disk letter)(also, use a capital letter to represent your drive. example: C:\msinst>msinst J msipl.bin)
9)It will show some stuff and give you 2 options. 1)Y=Yes 2)N=No........of course, press Y and then enter
10)You should receive a confirmation that the partitions were successfully moved

and thats it! your done with your magic memory stick and partition moving!!!!! That wasnt so hard now was it?
Now, lets continue!
