GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)
ANSWER TO THE "TOO SMALL RESERVED SECTORS" PROBLEM
I can't remember which page it was on and I don't really feel like searching for it when I already know the answer. It has something to do with formatting the PSP memory stick. Try formatting it with your PSP *and* your computer to see if that fixes it. If it's a certain order (it's been long enough that I think that may have been it) just experiment with it a little to see which order it should be formatted in. If I remember correctly, one should format the MS with the PSP first then the computer second. Now there's some record for the answer to the "too small reserved sectors" problem that people won't have to search very far for! |

Ok, sorry, but I registered just to do this... And I get the too small sectors problem.
Now, you said to re-read from past experiences, but that didn't really help... I didn't want to re read 50 pages of crap. I tried what you did, and nothing worked..
Can someone help me? T_T

"Check free reserved sector:to small reserved sectors" is a memory fail! Use another memory stick do to the MMS, and it will probably work. |

GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)
About to try this with my fat psp. Few quick questions:
1) Can i just cut the pin? i dont have a soldering iron
2) dark_alex's time machine, how do i use this to let me keep using my battery as a normal one? Anything special i have to do?
3) What files do i need to leave on my memory card? |

Yeah, you can just cut it.
Time Machine comes with full easy to understand instructions.
When you are on Custom Firmware, (after first install) you can format the card. It will place all the files and folders yo need on the card.
You will need to be plugged in to a power source to use your PSP (since the battery wont turn it on as a pandora) until you complete the timemachine install.
After the time machine isntall, there will be files that yo need to leave on the mem stick for it to work. Yo will learn this and what files when you are doing the install. |

you could also use dc7.it will enable your pandora battery to act like a normal battery,or a pandora battery if you hold the L Trigger (or whatever button you select to use with it) and it flashes straight to 4.01 m33-2.
youll need the 4.01 firmware and rename it to 401.pbp and put in your root. http://www.psp-hacks.com/download.php?id=1506
then put the dc7 folder in this file below into your psp/game folder and run it File Details-Despertar-del-Cementerio-v7-PSP-Homebrew-Applications -
when the install finishes, turn off the psp.unplug ac adapter, and put in the pandora battery.a menu will auto start up.select install 4.01 m33 from the top,and when its done select reboot,X.you now have a working pandora on 4.01 m33-2.go into usb mode after this,go into tm folder in root, and open up config.txt . there should be one line in it that reads
L = "/TM/DC7/ipl.bin"
save file and exit.now each time you brick you press L trigger to enter the menu instead of it trying to start up each time you boot up PSP.enjoy |

Now I'm happily running 3.90 M33-3 CFW, thanks for the guide. :3

GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)
i have made my pandora battery and my magic mem stick. Only problem is when i start installing cfw 3.71 onto my psp it starts loading the files and it says "CANNOT DECRYPT COMMON TABLE". And with the normal battery the psp doesn't turns on anymore, just the green light is on. and i cant get into usb mode because it must be turned on from the psp. i think what i've done wrong was, i haven't put the correct files onto the memorystick and thats why i cant run them. And i cant even correct it on the memorystick because my psp doesn't turn on. Any help would be appriciated!!! |
