Those should give you at least a decent version of the program.

@jamesbebby2008: is there any way that you could upload a picture to photobucket or a similar photo hosting site? I'd like to see what it looks like for one thing... and I also want to see if there's any sort of markings on the chips on the circuit board.

Default GUIDE TO::Making Pandora's Battery (*new method*)

Okay I am a complete noob. I pretty much, through research found out what I need to do. This site has helped me greatly. But I want to make 100 % that I know exactly what I'm doing before I actually do it. That way, I don't fuck up anything. I have three question at the moment about this tutorial.

1: Where can I download "Universal Unbricker"? I was searching the download section but could find it.

2: Where can I download "The Partition Mover"?

3: Okay my third question is based off this part of tutorial ...\/
Quote:
4)After that is done, you will be required reboot, so press X (cross) when your LED's are done flashing or when instructed to)
5)Re-put in your battery and the pandora menu will load
... Okay so after step 4, am I suppose to take out the battery? This is the only really confusing part to me ... If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate the help. I am a noob running official firmware 3.72. Thank you

You guys if you don't trust yourself with modding a battery ( especially a slim battery never eVER HARMOD ONE) you oculd use this set to get the datel battery tool off amazon FOR FREE. It really isn't a scam even check the testimonials section to prove it! the link is
prizerebel.com/index.php?r=313281
here is guide about it by ivaldix (I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!)

Hey Midian I need some help, I do everything to your specifications and I have used this tutorial before but I've also had this issue before, when I get to the part about moving the partitions I go to the cmd prompt type cd c:\msinst\msinst, than type msinst I msipl.bin, exactly as you say to, but it never gives me the option of pressing yes or no just says:

Target DRIVE is 3
Check partation sector
boot status 0x80
start head 0x05
start sec/cyl 0x0004
partation type 0x0B
last head 0x0F
last sec/cyl 0xB7E0
abs sector 0x000000A3
ttl sector 0x00076F5D
signature 0xAA55
Check BPB Sector
signature AA55
Check free reserved sector:to small reserved sectors

Idk what to look for as being wrong so any help from you would be greatly appreciated. My msn is smeckie06@hotmail.com so if that would be easier for helping than use it. Thanks in advance.

Ok so here is my problem.

I followed the guide perfectly, and I have a 2 gig mem card.

but this always happens...

EDIT: k... well its small, just look at the black box, the only thing that screws up, is there is no Y or N command...

look closely and u can see what it says.

if u need a bigger one, say so.. .ill do the whole tut again, i'm really desperate.

HEEELLL YEEEAAAHHH!! I just unbricked my first PSP!!! Now I've got 2 to play with. I got this one off a guy for $60 because him and his kid bricked it and had no idea how to fix it. The only thing that kind of sucks is the umd is broken and won't read any of my disk (Funny how he just forgot to mention that) but I should still be able to run homebrew on it for now.

Hi everyone,

I've done everything correct in the guide, made a magic memory stick and removed the right pin.

Now when I put in the battery the led won't come on but I can still start my psp like with a normal battery but without the memory stick it won't start

can someone please tell me if I did something wrong?

I should point out that in spite of the fact that i have a genuine sony 1800 mAH battery, the chip in question does not exist in my battery. He mentions an alternate that is used sometimes, but that wasn't in there. The circuit board doesn't even look similar. When I got this psp (1000) it didn't work (was given to me). I had to disassemble it and bridge the power fuse- I guess someone plugged in the wrong power cord or something like that. Once I got it working I started looking into modding it, which is why I am here obviously. It is a psp fat, 1001. Anyway this chip is not in my battery, nor is the other one. My goal here is to get some homebrew games/apps running, but really I'm interested in the emulators. I will let you all know if I have any luck in spite of my battery situation. Overall, most of the info on this site has been pretty useful, so I appreciate you guys. I didn't see anyone else post about the battery problem though, so I thought I should mention it.

ddorman, You don't need a pandora battery for the fat's. I didn't use a pandora for my first fat, I did it the old fashioned way (didn't want to ruine my battery by accident). It only took me a couple of hours to read through the guides, collect the necessary software and get it going.

Good Luck Bro

PspAssistant : I am having the same prob. I have been at my computer for 10 plus hours today trying to mod my psp. I think I have read every how-to on this website.

This is what I have done so far...

1. Opened battery to see inside nothing cut yet.
1a. I have a slim so I will need to cut along the 19 line in the curcit to hardmod the battery
2. I have a 8gb sandisk/ magicgate and a 1gb sony magicgate card (1gb came with maden psp kit)
2a. i have tryed the same thing with both cards
3. I format card inside psp remove card from psp (I don't have a USB cable) put card into pc card reader.
3a. tryed two diff ways first delete everything from memory card then go to next step and second left everything as it was removed from the psp.
4. comp then start then run then type cmd
4a. cmd promp screen opens.
5. cd c:\ enter
6. mspformat\mspformat.exe H (H= my memory card) I get the message Drive succesfully formatted, and partition moved
7. now I have tryed two diff things here first remove card and reinsert it into the card reader and second just leave card in and press on.
8. copy the 6 files/folders from Despertar v3 folder in to the memory card. Refering back to step 3a. If I had deleted everything from the card all 6 files go onto the card no prob. But if I had left the files on the card as it came out of the psp i get a message when copying files
8a. message said file psp already exist do want to replace it and the same thing for file game. I hit yes for both.
9. go to cmd input msinst\msinst.exe X msinst\msipl.bin hit enter
9a. this is where the prob is cmd runs and this is what is shown

PSP MS IPLInstaller
Load IPL code msinst\msipl.bin
241664 bytes<59 block> readed

Target DRIVE is 1
Check partation Sector
boot status 0x00
start head 0x00
start sec/cyl 0x0000
partation type 0x00
last head 0x00
last sec/cyl 0x0000
abs sector 0x00000000
ttl sector 0x00000000
signature 0xAA55
Check BPB Sector
signature AA55
Check free reserved sector:to small reserved sectors

C:\>

Am I doing something wrong or are PspAssistant and I the first to have this prob.
If you read all my blabering thanks and any help would be invited
Thanks Noob in training
