What did you have to do to the battery to make it work. I'm having the same problem. I've been scratching this thing for hours. (afraid to scratch to hard)

Help Please!

Nevermind, I got it working, I did not scratch deep enough apparently.
Great Post by the way, I had been debating doing this for a while and finally decided to go ahead with it. Took me the whole day just for being careful not to brick or mess up my battery, but it's worth it.

Thanks Herc

hey herc. it's too bad you're getting frustrated with all of these people, but really, i feel your pain. i bought my psp while i was out of town and had to wait to mod it. the whole time i was reading every guide possible, and NONE of them explained in awesome detail how to do it and not fudge it up but your guide. i modded my psp successfully the very first attempt. many, mucho, tons of thanks to you bro.

there are going to be people asking stupid questions because they're too lazy, or heaven forbid, just plain too dumb to figure it out on their own.

anyway, i just wanted to express my infinite gratitude for the guide you've put up here. without it i'd be broke

Default Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide

Hi all,

first off thanks for the tutorial excellent stuff. worked perfecr for me, heres my story and problem pleeeeeese help!!!

bought a slim psp 2 days ago ver 4.05, downloaded a torrent "fight night 3" so I could have a game to test with.

everything went well, was able to play the game once got the error and disabled umd and all that so that was ok

but then I went to games on the psp and clicked on one of the folders in the memory stick, think it was "Despertar del Cementerio " that I clicked on, cant remember what can up on screen execpt that it was a bit like when you boot and hold down the right button and put it into service mode.

then I turned off the PSP and I just get blank screen

here are the different ways ive tryed to turn it on
1 - with no battery just a AC,
1 - outcome is - just green light black screen

2- with no battery and holding down the right button for service mod
2 - outcome - just green light black screen

3 - with battery and no AC
3 - outcome - screen light up with nothing on it and and orange memory stick light flaches for 2 seconds

4 - with battery and no AC but with right button pressed
4 - outcome - same as above

5 - with battery plugged in, then plugging in AC
5 - outcome - green light, screen lights up, memory flashes, but when the AC is pluged in the light turns orange, but the screen stays bright

Iam thinking that I somehow corrupted the files on the mem stick p.s its a scandisk 2 gig. please dont say that its bricked
or is their a way to get files back on to the scandisk?

any idea's please help, only got it working for one game of fight night
I think once iam getting some light on the screen that its not bricked???

please please help

uh.. why do you still have despertar on the mem stick? lol

If you still have the MMS then try unbricking it because I assumed you didn't put in pandora battery, just the normal battery

thanks a million for the quick responce,
maybe it wasnt despertar than was on the MMS, but I did have it working, but as far as I can remember i went into games and then into MMS and their was fight night and 2 other files one was 1.55 and the other was the file I just clicked into not sure what it was something beginning with g?

my battery was the slim one that came with the psp, I cut the line on it, then when I installed CFW on it I drew on the line with the pencil, does it sound like its bricked? or maybe the files on the MMS are corrupt? is it possible to get files back onto the MMS without the psp?

ive tryed the L instead with no joy, does it sound bricked?
is their any other key combinations that can be held down on bootup?
