Default Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide

Yes, Pandora works for every motherboard except the newest ta-088v3's in the Slim and the mobo in the 3k.

It will work for any phat on any firmware.

Default Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide

Hey everyone,

Id first of all like to say great tutorial, was very clear and easy to follow. However ive come across some confusion/problems:

I just finished modding my PSP using this tutorial. I had no problems and did everything right blah blah I got it working and all. Than I tried to put a game on it using this tutorial:
How to Install Homebrew Games on a PSP

At first it gave me the following error when I try to boot the game (the same game that they use in the tutorial above):
"The game could not be started. (80020148)"

After reading and reading and just managing to confuse myself more, I went to the "PSP Update ver 1.50" under the game - memory stick menu. That ran through an installation process and tada the game than worked after!

Now I found a different game I wanted to install - PSP Downloads | Duke3D-PSP Build 98, after putting the 2 folders included in the download into my GAME folder, I go to boot the game like I did the other, it begins to load, goes dark for a few seconds, than it returns me back to the menu screen with no error code or anything.

Also if it helps I was able to successfully download and play these games:
PSP Downloads | X-Moto-PSP 0.2 but it is rather slow/laggy while playing it.
PSP Downloads | Deal or No Deal (US Version)
PSP Downloads | Biohazard2 v2.0 Final
PSP Downloads | Bomberman Arena v1.0 (1.50 EBOOT)
PSP Downloads | World Tour Soccer '06 Demo (First time playing it worked for a bit but than froze)
PSP Downloads | Wolfenstein 3D fw 1.5

My question is what am I doing wrong, what settings do I need under the recovery mode, is there a newer/better firmware (or something) that I need to/should install? Which firmware would allow me to do the most/be compatible with the most games? If it helps it says my version is 3.71 M33-2.

Thank you very much!

I have a problem with RainMMS. Since I have Vista, I apprantly have to use it. But I can't. When I try to open it, nothing happens. 5 minutes and still nothing opens. I tried placing the eBOOT on the app it self. Again nothing. I ran as admin too even though I have user control panel turned off.

Suggestions?

Wait how does the first post answer my question? Did you read my post? AT ALL?

Anyway, I got it to work after waiting for 15 minutes.

Default Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide

hi I would like to know that if i got this memory card, does it mean that i do not need to do the magic memory card thingy?

I would also like to know that to turn my psp into CFW, i require a pandora battery and magic memory, is the magic memory just for the sake of turning my psp into CFW or it can be used to store my games/save game..etc etc after i've used it to turn the psp into CFW?

You need to follow a guide on how to create pandoras battery (you can buy it) and you need the magic memory card to boot the PSP in the certain firmware so you need a guide to do that. You use the same magic memory card to put games/videos/music (ect) on it. That card will work.

so lets say i use a 2gb magic memory card to turn my psp into CFW, and then i use another 8gb/16gb memory card(without doing anything to it and is the 1 shown above), can i still put my games/videos/music into it and use with my psp?

OMG...

Why would you NOT be able to do that?

Of course you'd be able to do. You can use anything that says Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo. If it says that on the front of the card, it will work.

I appreciate the post and Dark Alex is the big bomb. I do have one question... why can't I get rid of that 105MB Folder "The File you Need"? How can I bounce this from my computer?
