It was likely "something in the 4"... something like 4.01.

If it was 4.01 originally then you have a ta-088v3 motherboard. Now that you've updated it to 5.51 you're stuck there.

You are in the same situation as stonecoldsbc; there isn't anything you can do.

Both of you should NOT be updating your PSP's further in the event that an exploit for 5.51 is found.

tried to make a magic stick under windows 7 and it would not work. i always got a write error when using the msp commands in the cmd. it worked first shot under xp though.

also, i tried to run it under admin and making sure all profiles had full control of file..still no go

What program are you using to make the MMS?

I would recommend you use a different program if the one you're using is having problems.

Or do I have to download the Download the latest version of Rain's UltraLite MMS Maker [Click Here] or Rain's Simple MMS Maker v1.0.
But Rain's Simple MMS Maker v1.0 doesnt work.
It gives me a link and than it says this file is deleted.

Didn't I just tell you that you're stuck? You can't dowgrade and you can't install CFW.

You'll have to wait for an exploit. One was found for 5.50 but nothing has been done with it yet. You'll have to wait for one to be found for 5.51, and you'll have to wait for something to be created out of it. This is why we tell people not to update their PSP's.

It won't break at all. You're not risking anything since it won't boot up or install at all anyway.

Is that a question?

If so, the answer is yes. If you have a PSP-1001 then it can be hacked regardless of the current firmware version. The same applies to Slims that have a motherboard revision ta-088v2 or lower.

You need to learn how to read. I'm sick of explaining this to people over and over. Start here and go back page by page until you figure it out.
