When he says cut in the blue rectangle, does he mean only the part of the line in the blue rectangle or all along the line?

Default Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide

Ok I have a psp slim and I already had a pandora battery. So I used the guide to make the magic memory stick and as far as I can tell it worked. Now I put it in the psp then insert the pandora battery WHILE HOLDING L. No flashing lights or anything. Any answer to this problem?

Default Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide

Not long ago, I came here to this forum and was informed that my PSP is unhackable. I've done more research recently and am not certain that I gave accurate information or if something has changed since then. I'm not sure how to tell what my motherboard is and I can't find my box, but I do know that my firmware is under 5.03, which seems to be the cutoff. It's a PSP Slim, firmware 4.03. Can anyone tell me how to tell if my motherboard is TA-088v2 or v3? Also, what method would I use if my PSP is hackable?

Thanks.

There is no version of Desperter del Cementerio for 5.51. If you're on 5.51 and you have an unhackable motherboard, you'll have to wait for an exploit. If you have a hackable motherboard, buy a Pandora Battery and make an MMS. There is no way to find out if your mobo is hackable because you can't run ChickHEN R2 or PSPIdent.

Is your PSP a Slim that came with firmware 4.01 new out of the box? If so, then you have an unhackable motherboard. If your Slim had a firmware older than 4.01 on it, then your PSP *is* hackable and you did something wrong with the MMS. Remake it.

You need download and run two things... ChickHEN R2 and PSPident.

I don't mean to be an ass, but if you're going to be messing around with an EXPLOSIVE BATTERY then you should probably have a bit more knowledge about electronics.

The blue rectangle is highlighting one trace on the PCB (Pressed Circuit Board). You'll need to cut across that line to interrupt that connection and prevent an electronic signal from passing down that trace.

Personally, I'd just recommend that you buy a Pandora battery at DealExtreme for $6. If you have a 3K or unhackable Slim, the Pandora Battery will do you no good.

I have a bricked 2001 Slim PSP with a TA88v3 motherboard.

Is it possible to load official firmware on it using a pandora battery and a magic memory stick?

Can you make a magic memory stick from an 8gb stick?

Nope, there is no chance that you can do anthing with it unless someone develops a way to unbrick a ta-088v3. If you dont' want to wait then sell it for parts.

Excellent! Just remember that if you shut down your PSP completely at any point, you'll have to run the exploit again. You can put it into sleep mode and it will stay on the CFW.

No, have have a ta-088v3 motherboard. You'll have to update to 5.03 and then run ChickHEN R2. I'll expand upon this in about 45 minutes from now. Right now I have to head out to work.

Do not update your PSP!

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Ok, I'm at work now so I had a few minutes to post this... the original text is by hessels 92, but I cleaned up all the grammatical and spelling errors and edited a few things to make it easier to understand. This program is really picky to get started. Don't get discouraged or angry if it doesn't work the first time.

1st- Update your PSP to OFW 5.03 by renaming 503.pbp to eboot.pbp. Place this into the ms0:PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder. If it doesn't exist then create it. Run this update from the XMB's Game menu. Format your whole mem stick when you're done! If you want to keep your savegames then copy them to your computer desktop. Your savegames are located in ms0:/PSP/SAVEDATA. Just copy this whole folder to your desktop. You can copy it back when you're done.

2nd- Download ChickHEN R2: Put the h.bin file in root of the mem stick. NOT in MP_Root as soon as you open your mem stick in "My Computer" drop it right there. Put the "ChickHEN" folder in ms0:PSP/PHOTO.

Now to the psp. Go into photo and open the ChickHEN folder. Scroll down 2 the last photo. Then wait. Your psp should reboot (this might take a few tries). When your PSP reboots go to System -> System Settings -> System Information. It should read "5.03ChickHEN R2"

In this tutorial, you speak as if the user has a functional PSP(mines Bricked). If I can plug the MS in to the computer directly via SD adaptor will it make any difference?
