Catb50's MMS Creator is already noob friendly, not that I'm calling you worse than a noob.

Anyway, you should read the "Readme" text. It should tell you what to do, if not, try clicking the "BEGIN" MS-DOS batch file, you'll be fine as long as you read the on screen instructions.

Okay yeah I'm having slight issue with this. I type in mspformat\mspformat.exe G
Get the thing to Format I type in Y and press enter next thing I know it says Open Error <read>
Anyone have this same issue?

I ran command prompt as Admin and I get the Write Error thing when i try doing the same thing. Maybe I'm dumb or something but now I'm lost entirely.

Oh sorry just to let everyone know my PSP is a FAT PSP and its a PSP-1001
It's currently running OFW 3.73 I'd like to put CFW on it since Playstation Store has yet to put any new RPGs up for download yet besides Wild Arms and I'm tired of waiting for them.

You have to cut the seal all the way around, cept for the connector parts. If you were cutting and you saw some smoke, that probably means you cut into the battery. I did the same thing and it still worked, but I tossed it after I had finished everything I needed it for. The best thing to do to see your progress is to try lifting open the plastic to see inside. Run your blade parallel to the crack and lift a little. High lighting helps alot too.

yeah the guide says

type the following command "mspformat\mspformat.exe X" ( where X=psp drive letter) note: NO quotation
- hit Y, then enter
- it should say "Drive succesfully formatted, and partition moved."

and i do the first part but it doesn't say drive succesfully formated and partition moved

Okay thanks to Nate Benton on here I found an easier way to do all the formating and what not without making your head hurt.

Haven't posted enough to post a link

Just run that Program and folow the steps. Worked for me. Still doing the Battery thing though. Can't seem to get the dang thing open. I'll post and let everyone know if I got mine to work.
