Herc - your guide works for me on real and fake memsticks. It even worked to convert my Datel 4GB HDD in to a perfectly woprking memstick as well as my SD to Produo converter.
I tested it every which way I can imagine and it woprks every time. Also, replacing mspformat instructions with the good old DOS format for fat16 in command prompt as admin for vista works great with your guide.
Just an FYI. |

Hi, IMO this is a very nice guide. I followed all of the instructions and i got to the " Write MS BOOT CODE " message. I put the pandora battery on the psp and i got the menu for the installation of the CFW.
Is there a possibility of failure during the installation, or it will go smoothly once you reach the installation menu?
It is my first time doing the MMS so I was curious about it. |

It is my first time doing the MMS so I was curious about it. | i mean yes and do...its always a possible to fail...but its very hard too...the only way to that is to take the battery out, but you know you shouldnt do that. so just press X. and be happy |

Can u change back and forth from pandora to normal by erasing the line i made to recover the normal battery?
do u have to get the magic memory stick first? |

the mms and battey go hand in hand - doesn't matter what u get first.
You can erase the line and it will be pandora again. |

I need some advice on getting my PSPslim working.
Just so you know I have a PSPfat running on cfw from a 2200Battery (All thanks to this guide btw :>)
So i tried it for my slim running offical fw 3.80 (came installed when bought from store) and boom backlight turned on but no text. The slim is totally dead right now; on a normal battery or ACplug boot the slim will turn on but the screen is black (no backlight and green power light is lit).
I tried following the guide for the slim but all it does is turn on the backlight and sit there with a blank screen. The memory stick light flashes showing me its reading the card and the L Button trick doesn't work. I can hold it for 10mins and nothing... By the by I tried it with two different Pan.Batteries the 2200 universal pack and the 1200 slim only pack.
Is my slim just totally dead??? |

It might be working with a black screen. Press X to start the firmware installation. The memstick access light should start blinking. When it stops. Press X again to shut down the PSP. Your done. |
