ummmm i got mad at somone trying to take my psp and punched at them accadentally hiting the hand that caressed the psp so verry gentily (as it should be handled) thus knoking it to the floor (tile) as the psp exploded in its usual pices (the memmory card, battery and battery cover) i screemed and killed the kid responsible. after this verry stressfull event i was meandering along and decided that i would like to indulge in a tymphony of button clicking and gun fire that is syphon philter:dark mirror when i realized WOW! my psp's not loading the disk that is syphon philter:dark mirror. sending me into an other downfall of blind rage and confusion
my ? is can i fix it, how, what parts do i have to buy and ware can i get them (preferrably not on ebay) | same happen to me..... how do i fix it |

you guys just need to get a laser replacement...kinda expensive but they do ggood work here: http://www.fixmyplaystation.com/psp_repair.html
you have to mail it out...but i sent 2 already and they fixed a snapped power switch and one that had broken r-trigger and a jammed square button and a broken power switch...they do good work but most people don't like to send their psp away...i had many many doubts about mine being sent away... |

do you know how to repair a start button? mine doesn't work.. and when i play games, when i press the home button, its affected as well.. the part where u have to choose between yes and no doesn't blink at all... anybody knows how to fix this? |

usually for water damaged cellphone all we do is open it and clean it thoroughly then use hot air gadget or any drier to dry it up.then assemble it again.usually works for phones and i guess its the same story with psp.... |

hey just tried and opened it up bought compressed air and tried to clean the buttons but found out that the right directional button and the square button are messed up. need to find a new faceplate and buttons will post results when i get it.

Just wanted to say good job on the guide. Just used the first part to install some white buttons. Was quite tentative about opening my psp, but it was easy using your guide. Cheers

I Screwed mine doing this, but then i sent it 2 GT electronics an they fixed it for 25.00! oh yeeah!

tried to down grade to 1.5 on numbered mother board which u guys refer to as ta-082,i only found the site after this happned..its powering only the lite and just blank screen...  can it be fixed without replacing mother board??? |

no sorry that is a brick you can install a mod chip though but i dont think you can on ta-082s.
