How To Check What Motherboard You Have
If your psp is like the image you have a TA-082 or TA-086 and can downgrade it only if you have version 2.71 & 3.03,3.50 if yours is not a TA-082/TA-086 you can downgrade depending on the version this means: 1.5,2.0,2.5,2.6,2.71,2.80,2.81,2.82,3.0,3.1,3.2,3. 3,3.10,3.11,3.30,3.40,3.50 for now. . YOU CAN'T DOWNGRADE PSP Version 3.51 Look at the top right of the green circuit board where the red circle is on the photo. There may or may not be copper-colored lettering there. Look on the right side, but not as far over (where the blue circle is on the photo). There could also be lettering there. If the code "IC1003" appears on the right (red circle on photo), your mother board is a TA-082. You WILL NOT be able to use the Undiluted Platinum modchip in your PSP. If the code "IC6001" appears on the left (blue circle on photo), and there is NOTHING on the right, you have a TA-081 motherboard, and you WILL be able to use the modchip. how to determine TA-82 motherboard from looking at the box http://www.pspmod.com/forums/showthr...82+motherboard credits

How To Check What Motherboard You Have
I've been floating around the site for a while gathering information and have decided to join up and share a bit of info back!
To throw a spanner in the works, I bought a ceramic PSP yesterday and it had "SS259" "I" so presumed the worst, opened it though and it does NOT have the TA-082 board??? So not all SS259's are TA-082. |

How To Check What Motherboard You Have
my box says WS-259 I, it came with firmware 2.6 wich is correct, but the motherboard shows the IC1003 code, there must be some TA-082 with the WS-259 |
