3.02oe-b should play psx eboots and isos fine, are you sure you put the isos and eboots in the right spots?

Hey, I need some advice. My friend and I recently decided to get into the psp scene, and went to the store and bought psps. Both are Firmware 2.71 TA-82. At first we downgraded to 1.50, then upgraded to the 3.02 OE-B custom by Dark Alex. However, we realized we couldnt play ISO and PSX after several attempts. What should we do?
Return the psps and attempt to find used ones with a more compatable set up? If so what firmware / motherboard combo do you guys suggest? Is there any other options to get the psps playing ISO and PSX?

and you have 2 choices to run the games with and without an umd disc
*with an umd disc in your psp you can play all the games from your memory card and without that like 90% of the games will run
*to run your games without an umd disc then you must change some setting!
berfore you start the psp hold the R button an start your psp, this will take you to a recovery mode! go to configration/use NO-UMD and disable that now you will be able to play stright from the memory card without a disc

So if I understand correctly once you have the UMD disc inside the system the PSP finds a file from the disc so therefore it reads a code so then you can choose a game from the memory card and play it?
So what is the best thing with DISC or no DISC?
2.71 T-082 - 1.50 - 3.03OE-A - 3.03OE-B
any disc will work, even the demo or sample disk
