Replacing Motherboards

Hi, I am new here but not to the mod scene. A quick (possibly stupid) question. Could I replace a TA-082 motherboard with a non-TA-82 motherboard?

Basically, can I swap them out, or would I have to swap out the other circuit boards (and maybe the LCD) as well?
