I spent days on my comp trying to figure out the whole devhook/downgrade thing with my psp and I swear it pisses me off so bad, I still have no idea how to work with these things. My geek level is really down.

Now here's my issue. I managed to downgrade to 1.50 and then upgraded with Devhook to 2.71 SE-A. I dont have any of the devhook files, I got rid of them accidently. I dont really care about homebrew anymore and I just want to upgrade to the normal firmware. But I cant. I tried updating through my USB and infrastructure but it says it failed. Is there any way update?

And yes, I spent the whole day searching the net, so dont say I didn't.

why would you want to upgrade to sony 3.11? just get 3.03 OE-c or 3.1 OE by Dark Alex, they have all the functions of the new official firmwares plus the added capabilities of homebrew. upgrading to official FW is for suckers.

HOW? Is there one of those easy installers? You know, the ones you download on your PC and they basically do all the downgrading? Or one of those step by step tutorials? I tried to upgrade my Dev to 2.8 or something a while ago and it failed too.

I know, but now I cant even play normal games now until I upgrade to 3.03 or higher. That's why I said I wanted to quit the whole thing with the emulators and such and just use the normal firmware. I didn't even want to mess around with this crap, I had my friend convince me that I NEEDED to try downgrading,emulating,etc.

anyway NEWRIDE, upgrading to 3.03 oe-c, is basically haveing the new psp firmware so u can play normal games, but also has homebrew like 1.5... so thats all it is, you can still play normal games

I think I got it, but how do I do this: "SE and OE firmware users must disable all their prxs in recovery mode, just a precaution"? That's the only part in the instructions I dont undrestand.

if your in 1.5, dont worry about that,
as it states, "SE and OE firmware users must disable all their prxs in recovery mode, just a precaution"? that means it ONLY goes to the users already in OE, which your not in yet..

basically, download this

then install it into your game folder, then run it on the psp, then press x, keep it charged and alone where no one can knock it over, and in 5 minutes your good to go... then make a folder for GAME150, and place all your homebrew there

how do you not understand custom firmware if you have 2.71 SE-A? why would you want to upgrade to 3.10 SONY ?

if you dont know if you have pllugins enabled, then chances are, you dont have them enabled, in recovery menu>plugins

I only got 2.71 installed because I used one of those really easy installers that do all the work for you. The reason I want to upgrade to 3.10 is because I need atleast 3.03 to play Medal of Honor.

I'm not sure exactly what plugins are.
