I have a rather odd PSP charging problem, if I move the part going in the PSP, it will stop charging. I can't play while charging. I don't know how else to explain it, and if you need video of it, I can get it for you, it will show it better than I can explain it.

    1. Warranty is over
    2. Already got new charger, worked for awhile...
    3. Didn't try new battery....

Hope it is something simple, and if easy repair, I pefer to fix it myself.

Ow...Seems easier to get a new motherboard, or send it out to pay to get it fixed...

Your best bet would be to find someone who has soldering skills. Even if you have to take it to an independent electronics repair shop, they will charge like $20 to solder the points back on. Replacing the whole MB for 2 solder points is kind of ridiculous. The PSP is stupid easy to get inside of.

Because no electrician wants to mess with it, I am going to try it myself. First, i'm buying a new power connector, and see if that works, then, i'll buy one of those (hopefully not) cheap Cold Heat Soldering Tool, then fix it myself. I'm almost sure what I need to do, to make sure, can someone post a picture of what to solder?

You don't even need to mess with soldering. That part is COMPLETELY seperate from any circuit board and around $10.00 on eBay. One end "the yellow part you plug into" turns into two wires ending up in a plastic connector that plugs into the motherboard. Easy fix..... as long as it is your AC pin that's broken - you''ll be up and running in no time. good luck
