So I built this car dock a year or two ago, i just revamped it a bunch and I figured id show everyone what it looks like! Still needs some work but it all works and it kicks ass and i fuggin love it. Ive had it in multiple cars now, sounds and works great!

Here are some pics it features the following:
    100x2 watt amplifier
Pre-amp subwoofer outputs (already been tested, works sweet)
    Built in car charger
Fully adjustable ball joint mounting arm. Turn the psp to passenger or driver, up or down.
Reinforced face plate, While the mounting arm does vibrate a bit, ive not been inconvenianced by it in any way.

If anyone has any ideas to make this better please feel free. Oh, you can forgoe the lame comments about how you hate it and whatever. Id like some CONSTRUCTIVE critizism

    Thanx!

only question is how stable is it? does it wobble has the psp flown out?
you tryed hooking up a FM transmitter on it and play your songs/pr0n through your car sterio?

Lol, maybe i didnt make it clear. This is a stand alone unit. No stereo. It does it all on its own. No fm transmitter, no need. Technically you can run an RCA cable from the pre-amp to the auxilary on a cd player and use it that way...

The goal, ultimately, is to make a unit that noone would bother to steal...your
dvd, mp3, wireless internet, GPS, and playstation goes with you when you leave your car. So this replaces your cd player completely.

Like i said, there is a little vibration. Nothing that bothered me at all...no wobble or anything. Its a steel ball joint mounted to a steel diamond plate thats been reinforced with L brackets. No wobbles at all ^_^

There already is a PS2 controller mod that can be done...easily made for this application. As far as a remote, not going to happen. It could technically be done but I dont have the knowledge to do it. The buttons on the mount all work. You could make a reciever that sent the information to the PSP through that port...However ALL the buttons are EASILY accessable with this mount. So its good to go already.

I love the idea nice work! Being an audio fanatic .... with you attemptng to eliminate the need for an indash all together - You won't have the ability to have seperate audio outputs to define low frequency X-over and being able to easily EQ it when needed without an external EQ source unless you have a multi channel amp right? Or do you have another work around for this also? Also what about your remote wire? How would you handle that?

You dont need a multichannel amp, you just need to have amp with a lowpass filter for the bass. The output from any standard deck isnt just low frequency. The amp output sends out a complete signal. Its the amps job to only use the frequency needed.
Your question confuses me a little. Im not sure what your asking. This doesnt eliminate the need for indash, it IS indash. It just eliminates the need for a cd player in your car. It allows you to take the whole unit with you when you leave.
You can run a splitter on the RCA output if you wanted to run multiple amps. Sub and component.
The remote wire is just an on/off switch from the car wiring. You can run the same wire for the remote wire to the dock as you can to the amp.
