the dead pixel fixer wouldnt mess up your psp, it get rid of that dead pixel
Get the screen OUT of your PSP and TAP with your finger several times... Do it maybe 20 times.. from slightly to a bit hard. This makes the fluids of your LCD PSP screen get INTO the stuck pixel ... Which fixes it.
Try that. If not just get a new screen. Easy as hell to swap with another
true but i absolutly hate to take my psp apart, it isnt hard, but u can never get the psp back to the way the factory had it,Originally Posted by mime

About buttons, I feel my 'start' and 'select' a bit deeper than normal... they should stick out more if im not mistaking.
wish I knew what the secret to put that back is.. Good point PSP.
Sounds like a crock... Dead pixels in LCD screens are a manufacturing defect that cannot be fixed. Each pixel is a "cell" composed of 3 sub-cells, each with its own color, green red and blue. A "dead" pixel occurs when they do not put enough of one color in a cell, therefore making it stand out, especially when the picture on the screen is dark.
I shake my head when I go to a Best Buy (or other electronics store) and hear the salesman telling a customer that dead pixels will "pop up" over time.

i had 1 stuck white pixel too. i used this app i found that runs colored bars all over the screen. i let it run for a min or 2 and nothing, then i tried again and let it go for like 15 mins checking every once in a while that it didnt go into sleep mode and it worked! no more annoying white pixel![]()

White pixels are most likely stuck pixels not dead pixels. While dead pixels are straight up "dead" and appear black on a colored background, Stuck pixels are simply pixels which have been kept and stuck in one of the three colors (or a mixture of the three sublayers- white) mostly visible on a dark background. You can fix this usually with software (that application in the link), or by simply rubbing or tapping the LCD in attempt to reseat the stuck pixel.Originally Posted by Mr.Behr
Stuck and Dead pixels are terms often misused interchangeably as in the title of this topic. So, when you said you hear tech support often stating dead pixels often "pop up" they might be referring to stuck pixels :/
i tryed the videos . already and it hasnt unstuck my white pixel. its soooo annoying.. i wish it was black. then white.. anyways.. is there a link to a tutorial or something how to take my lcd screen out.. i really dont want to do it.. is there a better video out.. i heard of a HTML program that suppose to unstuck stuck pixel.. does that work better?
You are probably right about that one, although I have never had a STUCK pixel, but with the laptops/desktop lcd's I have owned, (same technology as psp) they have always had at least 1 DEAD pixel.
Of course if you go to Best Buy with your warranty the salesman talked you into buying (for the pixel reason), saying the LCD has a dead pixel, they will laugh and tell you that it is not covered under the warranty because it doesn't have enough dead pixels.![]()

How long did you run the video?Originally Posted by Necrojb
Ran mine overnight for about six hours and still have the 3 'stuck'/white pixels I started with. Going to let this run all day while I'm at work. *crosses fingers*
