    just seen a blue psp for sale , 186 dollars , just wondering if i would have any probs with a model from japan or do i need one from europe ?
    would i be able to mod it and would any game work on it

    The color does not matter, the firmware does. You can mod any psp with firmware 3.03 or lower (US, Euro, Japanese, etc).

    But usually those blue/red/gold/... japanese psp's are new models. I think they're all above 3.03. You'd be better off buying a older psp version and get a blue faceplate of ebay. I've seen the official faceplates floating about there, always an option.

    the only thing i dont like about my jap psp is that the x and o buttons are switched
