okay so i just got a PSP from a friend and he said it wouldnt turn on so i looked at it once i got home. so you flip the power swithc up and the battery LED comes on for a split second. so i put in my pandoras battery and it just blips every second. is this a hardware issue i should try to fix? is this a software issue? should i just give it back to him and tell him im sry? shoudl i buy it off him for like 30 bucks?

It goes on for a split second and then never goes on again? Or what.
Please be more specific about the problem.
If it stays on and the screen is blank, it could be a possible brick. If the LED just comes on for a split second then doesn't come on again, try charging it.

itjust comes on for a split second then goes off. screen doesnt even come on. and a dead battery cant be the case since i put my pandoras battery in there and that did the same thing, its just the battery blinked every one second.

Yes and no. Yes it's a hardware issue, but if you don't even know that it's a hardware issue, I wouldn't recommend trying to fix it yourself..

Same thing happened to me on a bricked psp, the power light just flashes every second.
It means that the motherboard is faulty. The trouble is now, many people have bought faulty psp,s off ebay to try their pandoras batteries and are finding that they cant recover the psp, and so they are just re-selling them on...

Bricked psp's are going for crazy prices on ebay.
