Has anybody actually received one of these tool batteries? I see alot of people are ordering them, but no one ever states that they have one.

I ordered one, but after rumours that they do not have them in stock, I called them, and they informed me that it was pre-order only, and they don't actually have any. Since I am from Canada, they told me to email the UK support about my concerns. I said that if they don't have them (the web sites says they are available immediately) to please refund my money. Sure enough, I check my email, and my money was refunded..

Looks like I'll be making my own Pandora battery now.. BTW, why can't I seem to find spare Sony Slim batteries anywhere? No one seems to carry them, at least where I live.

There are no slim batteries available yet. Use your original Sony battery to make your Pandora, then use another battery (higher capacity) for gameplay.

OK.. I don't really want a non-slim battery for normal use, and I can't find any Sony Slim batteries anywhere. Has anyone had success in ordering the Phat style Tool Batteries?

    Thnx.

The Tool batteries do work as they are sent in service mode (0xFFFFFFFFFF) but it would be cheaper to buy the batt+MS from ebay anyway

I have one of the batteries... Tool bat and it's bright orange.

Do you have questions about it? I got my bat a little late (about a week).
    But it works great.

I haven't gotten mine yet, nor have I gotten a reply from customer service. Their phone operator just goes to voicemail and all their service technicians "are currently on another line"...all day. I sent an email through their site a few days ago, but haven't heard back yet.

customer service sucks at datel. i cant ever find out anything from them either. sent 4 different emails, left 3 voice mails. and called for days until i got someone on the phone that said they didn't have them in stock and the website saying immediate for the slim version is a typo

You do realize that the battery you posted probably won't work with Pandora, right? And I'd think twice about doing a hardware mod on that battery. Most likely, you'd just see a blob inside instead of an IC when you open it up. That is, if you still happen to have your eyes...

I finally got a reply from customer service, and they said I should recieve my battery tomorrow; however, they didn't provide the UPS tracking code like I requested, so we'll see.
