I'm guessing that some connection inside might be damaged. You should have tried to send it to Sony for repairs or returned it to the store you bought it from when the problems started.

01-08-2008, 08:50 PM Ok so Ive got this weird problem with my psp its been doing it for ages. when i was on official firmware and while on custom so I don't think its a firmware problem.
but what it the problem is that it wont usaly turn on if its been sitting turned off for a few hours. You flick the power on switch and the power light comes on but it will just sit there no wifi light or mem card light and no screen.
You can uslay get it to turn on if you remove the battery and keep trying to turn it on. Some times it will power up eventually some times you just get frustrated and come back latter and if your lucky it will turn on.
Its not a battery problem either cause Ive tryed like 4 battery's and it still dose it.
Ive got no clue why it wont power up all the time any ideas?

01-08-2008, 11:45 PM Bad connection somewhere,...try cleaning the contact points with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol.
