This is my first time here, and I had a question about modding the PSP. I've seen torrent files for "eboots" of PSX games for PSP, for a modded PSP, and simply transfer those iso's to the memory stick and run the game from there.
It wasn't that specific, what kind of modification would the PSP require for this? So far he and others stated they had quite a few PSX rpg's running smoothly on their modded PSPs.
don't post here, if you want to talk something illegal.
you need custom firmware to run PSX games - check out the guides section on how to install custom firmware
once you have a modded psp you can run all of that,. if there put in the right place on your memmory stick
but yes its illegal SO DONT DO IT! (the games i mean)
its illegal to run psx on psp? even if you own it? o.o *gulp*
and i was thinking of it.....!
I think valledor03 just likes to post stuff like that to get his damn post count up.
No, it's illegal to download PSX games, or roms or iso's in general, even if you own the game. If you make an ISO of a game you own, that's a different story.
But the fact that most of us if not all of us are running psp's with cfw is illegal as well, it goes against sony's tos.
if cfw were legal don't you think that sony would be endorsing all these groups who create cfw? dont you think these groups would work for sony now?
custom firmware isn't illegal - downloading games is - you don't want to be like this do you? http://cristgaming.com/pirate.swf
And
Thats harsh - what he said is totally true - if you want to talk about ISO's and torrents then go to another site
I didn't say anything about actually downloading illegal ISO's, I just said that I read about this modification in a torrent description, I might have said file by mistake.
I have tons of PSX games and I can make my own ISO's easy....Is modding a PSP for this illegal!?
no, already said in this thread, modding the psp is not illegal
the only illegal thing is downloading games
only an idiot would think putting custom firmware on a PSP is illegal. its not and if it were, you couldn't buy/sell a psp with custom firmware on ebay, which you can.
also, ya'll talk like ya'll don't download fucking roms and such. if you don't, then a psp with custom firmware is almost useless. whats the point of a NES or SNES emulator without the roms, which you can't get without downloading them...
not to mention, what if you use something like Kazaa or Limewire to download them, granted you pay for the file sharing software, it can't be illegal to download games, otherwise you couldn't download music, which is the most common thing to download using those.
