that's very innovative.
i'm surprised the pelican kit didn't come with a usb cable with a power split off. my target brand did.

w00t!!
when i got my PSP, i also got a pelican travelers kit, came with a car charger, which i put in my car, ran the wire under the console, and all was well. but unfortunately the option to charge via USB wasnt available in teh fat PSP, only the new slim PSP.
saw a few writeups online on how to take a USB cable and splice it in place of the car adapter.
BUT why woudl i want to get rid of my car charger?? i like it!!!
so i did the next best thing - opened up the car charger, took the leads out of the board, twisted em all together, and soldered it back in!
now i have the regular old car charger i can use on the go, and a USB cable stickign out of it, so i can charge my PSP when im not in my car (train, school, etc.)
took all of like, 10 minutes from start to uploading pics!!
plus it was $free.99!!

oh yeah? *shrug* i never looked in target, i got the PSP and kit for my birthday this year. after losing about 30 minutes worth of progress in FF7 twice, im getting fed up wiht not having a USB charger.
i had a brain fart, and didnt put heat shrink on the end of the USB cable - which is why theres electrical tape on it instead.
Dude that's fricken awesome, I love it. Great job.

used it the other day on the train. worksi like
