That is what happens with ebay at times, defective parts. And you can't really do anything about it, except for buying a new one. Warranties are not transferable. I ran into a simular problem with my 1gb from sandisk. Iwas copying movies over and it crashed. I contacted Sandisk and they said basically you are screwed because the warranty does not protect it if the PSP ruins the card. ASSHOLES.
