Greetings! I just got my PSP slim (VADER). I wanted to make a pandora battery so I went on amazon bought a spare battery and today I received my package. I thought I was buying the same type of battery that came with my slim; NOT THE CASE! What I received is some cheep a$$ imitation battery, still made in CHINE (Japanese batteries won’t work as Pandora batteries) but the circuit board is total different.

Finally, my question is: “does anybody know if you can pandorize this type of battery?”

Below is a picture of the battery with some specs of the datasheet (possibly not the right data sheet).

The chip with the red circle around it is [D2011A].

It’s the IC that “I think” is similar to the S93C56 IC, witch is the chip that is modded on the Sony slim batteries. Both IC’s have 8 pins but are not the same. I know that to mod the Sony batteries you just cut pin 5 (GND) of the S93C56 IC, but this is different.

Just as a reference, below is what the Sony S93C56 IC is like.

Please, any help is appreciated. Thanks for the attention.

well soney batteries are prefered but from the looks of it i would say it can. It seems to be the right chip however am not a 100% sure because the sony batteries use the c56chipset usually above the ico4 on the batteries mother board. So yea. i would assume yes bcause it looks similar..but i would say definately get a few more replies first. not a 10% on this..

oh wait just pandorize the battery you got with your slim and then use the 2400mah as your normal battery, more mah means more play time

    NEVERMIND!!

This generic battery is $hit!! It work fine out of the bag, but I changed it to the max (in the psp), now it doesn’t always turn the psp on. Sometimes it does but most of the time it doesn’t. I’m just going to try and return this $hit and buy Sony’s gold 2200mAh battery and hard-mod the battery that came with my psp-slim. That means that the Darth Vader cover will have to go (im told it won’t fit over the 2200 mAh battery??).

    Thanks for the feedback.

PS – check out the Sony hard-mod battery with the switch, VERY NICE (although i doubt i can solder some so small, how did they do it)!!

    TOTALLY NEVERMIND!!

I just did a “temp” mod on my psp-slim battery (PSP-S110) and I’m now running on firmware version 3.71 M33-2. All I did was scotch tape some speaker wire (because speak wire is very thin) just like in the picture below, and once the firmware was done loading I opened the battery back up and removed the tape with the wire, and the rest is history! Just what I needed, thank you JayL.

Here is the link for the tutorial:

PS – That generic battery (PSP-S360) is still a piece of $hit!! It only boots after the psp is plugged in, after that I’ve found that it’s running time is no different then the PSP-S110, don’t buy it!!

    In short... NO YOU CAN'T!!

U can not panadorize the generic PSP battery as far as I know.

If it is possible, then u would have to find a different method for panadorizing the generic PSP battery.
