What are the best looking face plates? I was thinking about silver or white. Are there any that are gray or actually made of metal?

It depends on the color of your PSP. Red faceplate and silver backplate looks tight. So does white and black. Not really blue and black though. You can look at all the different faceplates at the site in my sig.
    Firmware History:
    fat: OFW up to 3.30 - Lumines - 3.40 OE-A - 3.71 M33 - 3.80 M33 - 3.80 M33-5 - Stolen
    slim: OFW 3.60 - 3.60 M33 - 3.80 M33 - 3.80 M33-4 - 3.90 M33 - 3.90 M33-3 - Broke - 4.01 M33-2 - BRICKED - 5.00 M33-6

Faceplates seem scary to install (though I am seriously thinking of disassembling to install LEDs in the triggers) I just went with a Zombie decal, lol.

It might seem scary to some people but all you do is take out 7 screws, take off the faceplate, put on the new one, and screw them back in. And you get to blow out all the dust.

I just have a fat with black back. I might go with white. By the way there are a lot of youtube videos showing how to change a faceplate. Here is a good one for those of you that havnt seen it or done it before - YouTube - (+[PSP]: Faceplate Change Tutorial

    Pshhhh

Who said we actually needed a faceplate?

Just hold everything down with some tape/glue and put Plastic Wrap over the top of it to keep the dust out. ^_^
