You need to perform an IDStorage fix

It sounds like your battery is in "fail-safe" mode. This likely happens when the battery is being unproperly used (connecting/removing, over-charging, etc), it achieves this mode in order to prevent dangerous results (explosions, burning, etc. This has happened to me when I changed the shell of my PSP and I continuously couldn't get the battery to work for my PSP.
One exercise you should do: Plug in your PSP to the wall adapter, does it turn on? If not, check mobo ribbons (there are 2 ribbons, one is for the power switch and another for the mobo to read the battery itself) let me know if you need advice on this part. If your PSP turns on with the wall adaptor, go to System Settings, check Battery Information, and see the stats. What does Power Source say? If it says it's External (and you have put your battery inside), it not reading the battery at all. If this is the case =
1. Get rid of fail-safe mode, if one, in your battery by getting something that conducts (paperclip, wire, etcstick one end to the 1st and 3rd prong of the battery. Hold it for 5 seconds get it off, put it back on your PSP.
2. If you modded your PSP, hardware wise and changed something, make sure mobo is in good order and then put the battery in.
Does it turn on? (Last thing, if it does not open and play with the battery alone, push the rear-right of the PSP, kind of shoving your battery in your PSP, and see if turns on. If this is the case, then your case is the problem, your PSP shell is forcing the battery out of the socket)
Let me know if this helps at all lol. I went into the hardware side of things, this could be of a software issue I don't know. But anyways, best of luck!
Hey man check out my previous post, I replied to foxdog about similar problems, let me know if it helps.
Sorry guys if that seemed like post-spamming. I'll make it up by giving my say on 2 other things related to PSP fixes, that I hear a lot. This is only my say, don't mean to step on the toes of the thread...
1.) If your analog stick is drifting.
Get the analog stick component from the mobo (remove faceplate, unscrew screws, hold it in your hand.) Have alcohol at hand either spray or swabs, and clean the whole rear of the part, usually junk gets in the way and alcohol cleans it. Screw it back together, it should work.
2.) If your UMD drive is reading the game but either gets stuck halfway or you hear clicking noises.
Open the backdoor, remove UMD, look at laser and the gears near it. (If you think its not reading UMD's at all, you can do the laser test, go to youtube or google how that's done, hit me up unless you need more specifics on how to do it) Below the laser you'll find a module connected to this metal pole with a spring on it, fix the position of this module by moving it exactly below the laser. Carefully, and I mean CAREFULLY, slide it all the way till you find it below the laser. Know this is more of a trial and error concept, check what actions come out when trying to read and play the UMD's
PLEASE try this at your own risk, I have found these tips helpful for me and others, you can also check online. I don't have the ability yet to paste links of these tips, but I can back it up with credible sources soon...still new to this site, I need to be a better forum participant. But seriously be careful with what you do! Thanks I hope any of this was helpful, hit me up if you need any help, hardware wise.
im not sure if i should post it here. but i just downloaded a game and yes, it's my first time to do this.' -_-, so when the downloading finished i exctracted the file cause it's in rar format and i just thought i should extract it first before it pasted it in the PSP/GAME/ folder. the rar file contains files the one is the game.iso and game.nfo. now when i open the game folder in my psp it doesn;t show up. can anybody tell me the problem? thanks.
yeah you did not buy your game thats the problem we do not support piracy here guy read some rules
I have a 1001B2 that has a screen which remains completely blank. It will charge, the power light turns on and is solid green, just no picture at all. Is my screen burned out or is it probably the cable connection came loose/unhooked? I'm going to try and turn the sound up when I turn it on, see if its booting up properly or not.
Added: I think its bricked, going to try to access service menu and go from there.
