Hey guys, is it possible to get a controller working for the PSP? Like plug it into the USB slot, set it on a table and spare yourself the carpal tunnel syndrome inducing the PSP subjects you to? I recently got my PS3's controller working on my PC (and it's a kickass, responsive controller for those who haven't tried it) and am hopeful.

    Yea, you could do that.

Or you could do it the easy way and buy a Playgear Pocket, or one of those attachable half-controller-thing-a-mayigs (like Nyko Charger Grip).

Actually, when I bought my psp secondhand from a friend, it came with a Datel "powergrip" which is essentially the same product. Even with the grips, the button placement is ridiculous for someone with hands as big as mine - and btw, the "battery" included in the grip, which is supposed to provide an additional 6 hours of play, is only good for making your PSP feel like it's going to melt. So you leave it unplugged and just use the grips, but c'mon.

I do NOT recommend datel products.

it would be cool if u can put ur psp on a stand and connect a ps3 controller on it so that then, the psp could be connected to the tv and ur controller to psp in other words like a ps3. but the graphics arnt as good. on the othter hand u can download some games meaning u dont need to but them on the ps3.
BUT THATS ONLY IF A HACKER CAN FUGURE OUT HOW TO CONNECT PS3 CONROLLER TO PSP

Meh, personally I think the psp slim&lite was too small for me, so I bought a playgear pocket. It adds roughly 0,5 cm on each side of the PSP, effectively fitting it for my hands.
I can honestly play it for hours straight without any issues. Heck, most of the time I manage to get low on blood in my hands way before I stop playing.

Anyway, those that discussed grafting a PS2 controller onto a PSP:

I got the 360 wireless control going after some trial and error. A couple quick things if you wanted to try it:
you need a gaming reciever to hook the controller to your pc
    Irshell 3.9 w/ Remotejoy4irs (google it)
    Patience
The most compatbile FW for this specific task i found is 3.80 m33-5 irshell is very picky and as of now abandonware.
This will get you goin on your p.c to get it on your t.v simply hook up your pc to it. I used dualview hdmi out on my 8800gt and it worked miracles by setting my t.vs resolution to 640x480 to get the closest to actual full screen. Dual analogs on MHP2G are a godsend.
