I am wondering if the read/write speed of a memory stick will impact the preformance of small games such as snes, sega, and nes roms (128KB-6MB).

I have seen some high speed pro duo MS's on different websites (they claim 3x the read/write speeds of normal pro duo's). Since I only care about the emulated old school games Im wondering if it can help the lag I experience on some of the larger snes roms ive encountered (FF3, Chrono Trigger, ect.) I have upped the cpu speed to 333mhz and enabled frameskip 1, but sometimes it still lags.

If MS speed is no issue can anyone recommend a reliable 8GB MS? This way I can cram all of nes, sega, snes, neogeo, turbo graphx 16, and atari onto 1 stick

Newegg.com - FileMate 8GB Micro SDHC Flash Card w/ Universal Adapter Kit Model 3FMUSDCK8GB-R - Flash Memory

That's an 8gb micro sd card with a Memory Stick Pro Duo adapter so you can use it in your psp, it's been tested that it works with full compatibility

The product you linked, does that adapter fit into the slot for the psp like a normal pro duo (so that the opening closes like normal) or does it stick out?

EDIT: NVM I looked at it a bit closer and realized it has several shells in which to enclose the memory into. At first I thought the whole clear plastic thing was the adapter. /me slaps self in face

Adjust the frameskip to auto this should help the lag.
