I'm guessing you're struggling with the screws that are behind the warranty label under where the battery should be. If I recall correctly, some of the screws are smaller than others and ultimately need a smaller screw driver to get to them.

So do I just need to apply more pressure to the screw?

In the worst case scenario, you could cut apart your backplate... I mean, you're changing it for a new one anyways, right? :P

Wont cutting it ruin the motherboard. I dont mind cutting it, so long as the motherboard and the other peices are still ok.

I managed to cut it and changed the cover. The cover wont close properly because I accidentally used some of the black screws inside that I was meant to use on the outside. Nothing a little bit of super-glue cant fix.. Right?

    Superglue should work
lol you shouldnt of cut open your case. Just get opliers and use it to hold onto the screwdriver and turn. Much easier if your using one of thoese small ones which burn your skin if you turn too hard
