    Hi All,

I have a slim /lite 2000 Sony psp which does not have a TA-085 Mainboard because I checked inside the UMD drive and I wish to upgrade it to 4.01m33 CFW from 4.01 which is currently on there.

I have pretty much followed everything using this link
h ttp://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FMxvSVjKeZM]YouTube - How to Make a Magic memoryStick 4.01m33 but when I insert the NEW Pandora Battery for PSP 1000/2000 (1800mAh/3.6V) NO LED lights flash and the battery appears non active.

I have tried charging the Pandora battery but the charge level, battery status etc. are blank and nothing happens.

Can someone please check to see if their Pandora Battery registers as being charged so I can confirm mine is dead.

I insert the battery bottom first whilst holding the up button. (Infact I've tried all buttons)

    Thanks loads,

    Benny

ummm yes the battery is dead. same thing happened to me with my 2200mah battery. however you can still use it as a service mode trigger if i'm not mistaken. if i am then well get a new battery. TWO that is!

thanks guys, this is a new battery purchased from DealExtreme. I had a suspicion there should be at least enough charge in the battery to go into service mode. I just needed confirmation.

try inserting the battery then imediately plug the charger in and then hold the left trigger and power on. This worked with my dead pandora battery before my new one got here. Good luck.
