How to tell if the PSP is modifyable without buying/opening the box?

Hey guys, i have been modding psp's for a long time now, i recntly stumbled uppon a psp ( new ) with OWF 4.01. I found out that it acutally has the new motherboard that isnt moddifyable. I check the number on the bottom and apparently it's the 2000-1 model which is not hackable...is there a way the person can check if the psp is hackable without opening the box of the psp? i heard that you can check somecode and if the letter is G or higher its not modifyable? any clues?

yeah G are confirmed to have 4.01 and b too have them as b are found with almost all ofw in slims.....

If the box has a clear window where you can see the PSP in the blister case and you can open it from the top then its hackable if it's in a box that does not have a window and opens from the side it has the new mobo and is unhackable.

I had tried downgrading a different psp with the box as mentioned above, but it didn't work. I inserted the pandora battery I made, and the power light just went green, and wouldn't go to a recovery menu or load the memory stick or anything. I'm now thinking that it might have just been because it was a seperately packaged battery, (from sony) and I hadn't charged it. Since then, I've returned that PSP and exchanged it for another with the clear window and top-opening psp, and I'm about to pandora the battery I have that came with it. I just want to see if this info above is correct or is it still a risk that my PSP is unhackable?

i know that, all daxter psps can be modded... i would just recomend getting one of these psps... the madden ones just cant be hacked... and most likely all the god of war psps that are in stores are not hackable... i would just get the daxter pack if i were you

dont bespreading that shit aroun psp2001 isnt hackable. because i have hacked 2 psp 2001. they were in the box with piano black on the front
