Did your previous firmware "softmod" your battery and make it a Pandora... If you upgraded your VSH menu it is possible, after you install try taking out the MMS and the pandora and then putting your battery in.

Ok my psp is only turning on with green light at the minute and thats it. Before it bricked i was running irshell and when i returned it was all gone.
I have a PSP Phat 1003 that had CFW 5.00 m33-6. Now ive created a magic memory stick from this site itself sucessfully and when i use my Pandora Battery it reads the MMS and begins the install. Once its done it all and then i press 'X' to shutdown i then replace the Pandora Battery with my Official Battery but instead of booting up like its supposed to it goes back to the start of the install.
Ive googled and you tubed this for hours and had no sucess. Im preety sure my problem can be fixed.
Just hope someone out there can give me the right advice as this is all very new to me and yes i am a noob.
Cheers guys!

I did upgrade my VSH to Ultimate 1.07 and i think your right about my battery. When i insert the Official Battery it instantly gives power to my PSP just like the Pandora Battery.
It never did this before, so what next?
Its ok ive sorted it now but you were right about the battery i had soft modded it. If only i knew to remove the battery and connect the charger then power up my psp WOULD have booted up.
Once i'd done this i re-installed ultimate vsh, inserted modded battery, then changed it back to normal battery.
Dont think my psp was bricked at all but it sure seemed like it at the time.
Many thanks for your great advice mate!![]()
